Relocate to Finland as a self-employed
To set up your self-employed business in Finland, you should meet these basic requirements.
How It Works
We’ll guide you through all steps to set up your sole proprietorship in Finland. You need to prove of your remote contracts and income to complete your registration. Once registered, you can continue your freelance work legally and benefit from Finland’s business-friendly environment.
You need a monthly income of at least €2000 (solo), €2600 (couple), €3400 (three members), or €3900 (four members). We advise maintaining these levels for six months before applying, as lower incomes are typically rejected.
You plan to work independently as a sole trader, not as a traditional employee.
You already have contracts or projects with companies from the EU, Western markets.
Verify that your remote work and monthly income meet the required thresholds.
